5 mths came and gone just like that.
can it b considered as a blink of an eye?
Maybe.
had i changed?
i think i did.
Busy sch term started. Followed by quizzes, assignments and report deadlines.
Time flew by just like any other school semester.
Below are the little perks of my boring school semester.
1) Lucky for me, I found a fren who had similar timetable to mine.
So, we could go for lects tgt all the time.
Is this the beginning of a new friendship?
I sincerely hope so.
2) Had a gr8 birthday week.
Could spend the time with ppl that I love though I was away from home in a foreign land.
Really treasured it.
Thanks for the presents ppl!
Got a new phone from my dad. hee
3) Hunter Valley Road trip
Had a taste of a atas lifestyle.
Had cheese with wine and champagne and choco.
Went for horse riding, drove ard e countryside.
It was quite a foodie road trip too. Haha.
Saw beautiful sun set in a vineyard and sunrise in Newcastle.
Managed to have a relaxing road trip.
Took a 2h train ride back to Sydney. Longest ever. Haha.
Glad that the accounts was settled too.
4) Tons of birthday dinners and meals ard in Sydney.
Managed to have a chance to explore various parts of Sydney and e food around.
Found that there is a shop that sells authentic Singapore food.
Find that idea quite funny.
Along with ups, there r down times.
1) A aunt passed away nearing e end of sem.
Felt guilty that I wasn’t there for a final goodbye.
The tot of not being able to see her again was upsetting.
Oh well.
2) started to have sleepless night once winter started.
Not sure if its coz of hormone changes or coz exams were round the corner.
It was mentally and physically draining.
3) Times when I miss sg a lot.
The family, the friends, climate, atmosphere, language, food and etc.
Being overseas brought up the significant traits that can endemic to Singapore.
Those are hard times.
Joy of July holidays:
1) Met up with dine in Sydney.
Went to Jenolan Caves in Blue mountains and watched Transformer 2 at IMAX.
Had pancakes on the rock and ribs at Hurricanes! YumYum.
Thanks for the wine! =)
Being with dine brought back lots of sec sch day memories.
The good and the bad.
If only there r more of our photos on facebook…
Coz my previous harddisk crashed and I lost my entire collection of our op photos.
Haiz.
2) NZ trip
I got upgraded to business class seats on my emirates flight from Syd to Christchurch.
The chair was very spacious and huge!
I could even order champagne and wine anytime.
Haha. Lucky me.
I think I was fortunate as we did not check in online and got the last few seats.
Hence, they decided to upgrade the person who would be seating at the last few seats.
It may not be true. haha.
Upon our arrival in Christchurch, we took a shuttle bus to Methven.
The bus conductor thought im only 16. Haha.
Do I look that young?? Haha.
We stayed over at the YHA there.
Their service is really good.
The nights were really cold though.
So cold that I would get woken up in my slp.
We spent 2 days skiing in Mt Hutt.
I put my skiing skills to e test by going up to the intermediate slope but it took me 1h to get down. Haha.
I guess I was not daring enough.
The food in Methven was gd!! Haha.
Then we spent 2 days in Christchurch.
On e 1st night, there was a earthquake.
However, we were out on the streets and did not feel anything.
What a pity. Haha.
We spent another day in the middle earth of the LOTR movie!
Took a day tour up to Edoras.
Gr8 scenery!
It was breath-taking.
However, it was a foggy day.
We were not fortunate enough to witness the full beauty of the 360 degrees mountain.
What a pity.
The trip made me wanna watch the extended versions of all 3 movies.
Then we caught the Harry Potter movie in Hoyts.
The movie was a waste of money.
There was no action at all!
Felt so cheated.
Next, we took a domestic flight to Auckland which was delayed by 2h.
Spent e time chatting and slacking. Haha.
After reaching Auckland, Danica and her dad brought us around the city.
It felt like Sydney.
There was e sky tower and a smaller harbour bridge.
Perhaps all the cities look the same afterall.
Our accommodation that night was damn cool.
Their lift is so ancient that we have to open and close it manually.
It was an eye opener!
Haha.
We picked up our car and started to drive to Rotorua.
The car broke down about 10km out of Auckland.
We had to wait for 1h for a replacement.
What luck. Haha.
The first thing we did when we reached Rotorua was to go to Rainbow Springs.
The highlight of the place was their kiwis!
Haha. The catch to it was that they are nocturnal animals.
Haha. So, we checked in first and had dinner with Auntie June.
So lucky of me to be able to see ppl from my family.
It meant a lot to me regardless of how close we were before.
After dinner, we went to check out the kiwis again.
Haha. We had to play ‘find the kiwi’ game.
They had cages with shrubs!!
And they could camouflage well.
The kiwis are huge.
Haha.
We spent the 2nd day in Rotorua on water- rafting.
It wasn’t exciting at all. Oh well.
We sang the entire trip to and fro.
I hope the guides dun think that we r nuts.
Haha.
Then I drove down to Taupo.
The public roads were not lit at all.
It was very different from driving in the city.
The GPS even brought us to take shortcuts where there isn’t any public road.
Haha. Exciting!
We spent our 2nd last day in Taupo sight seeing and eating.
We visited the Huka falls and the geothermal places ( they do stink a lot).
Haha.
Then we drove back to rotorua for spa.
Wanted to try mud spa but it was closed for maintenance. What luck.
Haha.
Then we drove back to Auckland in the middle of the night.
We dropped SX and CJ at the airport first while me n SY went to return the car.
When we returned to the airport, we realised that our flight was cancelled.
Haha. It was hilarious.
N we were told that this is not the first time that it happened.
At least we managed to get another flight back to Sydney.
Glad that we managed to get back to Sydney safe and sound.
How I wish the plane landed in Sg.
I do miss home after all.
4 more mths and I will be back.
I think that I think too much.
Hope I can see a light soon so I will not dwell on it too much.
Or mayb im not meant to c the light.
Life will be simpler.
I noticed that the different background the experiences shape a person’s thinking differently.
Hence, when faced with an issue, different solutions will be presented.
I believe that is the root of all misunderstandings and miscommunications.
Someone has to give in or accommodate.
But I guess, there is limit to it as well.
Coz no one is a saint.
It made me so tired.
E other day, 3 old frens met up.
Started to talk bout sch days and e ppl they met.
All the gossips and old rumurs came in.
Then I started to wonder..
How much power does e words of 1 person has on another..
Will it change the impression of the other person totally?
Is it fair to the person who was e topic of conversation?
Would it condemn the person?
Will there be ‘2nd’ chance for the person?
Is this back-stabbing?
Then again, I believe that there is a reason behind everything.
But the reason is not always being divulged.
Is that the crux of the matter?
I believe it is.
Or prob, I choose to believe it is and have faith in the goodness of everybody.
They could have handled the issue in a unique way due to family influences or past experience.
Who are we to judge based on the surface evidence?
Who are we to comment?
Do we really know the full story?
Cant we give e person a benefit of doubt?
Truthfully, its weird being ard ppl from elite sec sch and jc.
All they talk about is the ppl that they knew.
Wow! Sg is a small world.
I guess that is the few common topics that they can find.
‘Pot calling the kettle black’ – a situation that arise way too often.
Just that ppl failed to notice it.
Being away from the upbeat face of sg, it made me realise that I hav been taking lots of things for granted.
Can I have the time to make amendments?
I hav to admit that Im not gd at keeping friends.
I guess I was too obsessed in schoolwork.
Had e wrong impression that everything else can wait.
The truth is it doesn’t.
Guess I have been making wrong decisions all the time.
Took me 21yrs to see that.
Better late than never?
I can only hope so.
Im sorry.
